Senior Data Scientist - POS-DS-42

We’re looking for a senior Data Scientist to work on our core technology. Utilizing advanced machine learning methods on a proprietary datasets of cell images, we learn and assign the functional significance to unknown mutations. As part of our team, you will enjoy working with cutting edge technology, and the ability to see your insights affecting cancer treatment daily.

The perfect candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, will have experience working with large data sets of images using deep learning. The perfect candidate should be focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success for using ML to drive the understanding and/or success of a product.

 

Technical

Qualifications:

  • PhD, MS, or 3+ years experience in computer science, applied mathematics, or other quantitative/computational discipline
  • Advanced python skills and working knowledge of Keras, Pandas, and other analytical modules.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in data science to relevant stakeholders such as biologists and physicians
  • Data engineering experience, including MySQL and manipulating large structured datasets for analysis and working on AWS and Nvidia servers
  • BS. or higher in biology or related subject matter is a plus

 

Non-Technical

  • Passionate about helping patients win the war with cancer
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data
  • Proven record of solving challenging problems in academia and/or industry
